About us

​Valerie Isted is an experienced horsewoman with many successes from her teen years right up to present day, from a career with horses spanning over 20 years. Despite a serious horse injury in 2024 Valerie still owns a warmblood called Cass.

Valerie's husband and partner in the business is Alan Isted who also undertakes the more technical aspect of repair and maintenance of our growing fleet of 66 horse trailers. During our first three years this was done while holding down a full time job in Learning & Development in the telecommunications industry. After 24 years, Alan has now retired from his full time job to help build our business and offer servicing for customers trailers as well. Alan is qualified in trainer maintenance with an Institute of the Motor Industry certificate obtained through Towing Solutions Ltd in Macclesfield and the NTTA

Together we have 2 children, who are now 19 and 13 years of age. We sadly lost our little mascot Ralph in 2025, a 12 year old Pug. We also have Squirrel our 1 year old Rag Doll cat.

We are experienced in inspection and repair of Ifor Williams horse trailers, from the hitches to the ramps, and from the brakes to the electrics. We also have a very good relationship with the local Ifor Williams main dealer, Universal Trailers at Billingshurst.

Our business is now 8 years old, and we aim high for professionalism and customer satisfaction with a friendly and flexible approach. 

​We are proud to be a NTTA Trusted Workshop and as part of our continuous professional development we attend training & seminars and are assessed each year to ensure we are maintaining our standards. Our technician is trained to service trailers with a certificate from the IMI.
